COVIDSafe Plan

We have been working to continue to develop our infection control procedures (⚠️) onsite. To find out more about our efforts to keep the community safe, read our most up to date local plan and approach to promoting the 6 CovidSafe Principles (✅) at our venue.

1. Our plan to manage physical distancing

  • You will not be permitted to play golf without a reserved tee time

    • ⚠️ Communicated with signage at point of entry

  • Do not arrive at the clubhouse more than 10 minutes prior to your tee time. If you arrive at the facility earlier, please wait at your car

    • ⚠️ Communicated in booking confirmation instructions, with signage at point of entry

  • Stand on the floor distancing guides and follow the directions of our team members at all times

    • ⚠️ Communicated in booking confirmation instructions, and voiced by staff

  • Maintain 1.5m social distancing at all times with your playing partner (unless you live in the same household)

    • ⚠️ Communicated in booking confirmation instructions, and voiced by staff

  • No photos or presentations are permitted, nor any activities that compromise our commitment to a social distancing venue culture

    • ⚠️ Communicated and voiced by staff in the clubhouse, on course or over the microphone

Note: Management has carried out local risk assessments to inform the structuring of tee intervals, with a view to maximising course access and also complying with congregation limits in and around the clubhouse area. With strict processes enforced between the car park, clubhouse, practice green, and tee, we are endeavouring to create as much access as possible. Whilst access to the course won't feel as relaxed and easy-going as usual, we hope you understand that the safety of our customers is our highest priority.

2. Our plan to manage face masks

save-(3).PNG

You are required to wear a face mask every time you leave your house. 😷 Please wear your mask in our clubhouse, and remove it during play if breathing starts to feel difficult. Maintain your social distancing at all times.

⚠️ Communicated with signage, 'How to wear a mask safely' instructions, and 1 of the 6 items policed as part of the course marshal warning register

Golf Australia update (22/07/20):

All golfers must wear a face covering or face mask when playing golf in Metro Melbourne, unless they are affected by a relevant medical condition such as breathing difficulties (e.g. Asthma), a serious skin condition on the face, a disability or a mental health condition.

  • Players will be asked to leave the facility immediately if they are not wearing a face covering, unless they are affected by a relevant medical condition

  • It is recommended that clubs/facilities seek a medical certificate or other proof of exemption for players who state they have a valid reason not to wear a face covering.

    • For the avoidance of doubt, DHHS have published the following:
When an individual is doing any exercise or physical activity where they are out of breath or puffing (e.g. jogging or running, but not walking), you must have a face covering on you and wear it when you finish exercising.

3. Our plan to manage good hygiene

4. Our plan to manage bookings and act quickly

Since re-opening in mid-May, we have committed to a firm 'No Booking - No Entry' culture. No customers are permitted to attend our venue across any of our service deliveries without an existing booking

  • ⚠️ Communicated on our website, with signage at point of entry and voiced by staff to 'regular' walk-up clientele

🏌️ OUR CUSTOMERS

We are not allowing 'blanket group bookings' under one booking name, i.e.

  • Details of all playing partners must be provided, otherwise bookings will be cancelled/deleted

  • When booking online, customers must use the 'Add Player' option and enter specific details of all players who are attending our facility

We are keeping records of all customer details daily for contact tracing - and in the event a customer (or member of the public) is potentially exposed to COVID-19, our team will follow the incident workflow.

👷 OUR TEAM MEMBERS

We have a strict policy that any staff who feels unwell must stay at home, i.e.

  • We promote a culture where staff are encouraged to stay home and get tested even if they only have mild symptoms

  • We have a robust plan to immediately close down for cleaning and contact tracing if there is a coronavirus (COVID-19) case

We are keeping 'clock in/out' records of all staff daily for contact tracing - and in the event a customer (or member of the public) is potentially exposed to COVID-19, our team will follow the incident workflow.

5. Our plan to limit interactions in enclosed spaces

A selection of customer and staff activities have been restructured into outdoor areas where practical, i.e. areas that don't have a roof or ceiling. This includes;

  • Our golf check-in process for customers now includes an express, outdoor check-in option for anyone who has booked online (including temperature checks on arrival); and

  • All staff and departmental meetings are being conducted on Microsoft Teams, with lunch breaks occurring outside (weather permitting)

6. Our plan to manage workforce bubbles

We have revised our rostering principles to include workforce bubbles, i.e. ongoing grouping of 4-5 team members in recurring shift cycles, to limit the number of people our staff have prolonged close contact with. This means:

  • We are keep groups of staff rostered on the same opening/closing shift cycles;

  • We are avoiding any overlap shifts (unless outdoor); and

  • We are no longer allowing staff to work across multiple Belgravia Leisure facilities
