Geelong Golf Club teeing up for glory
Geelong Golf Club (GGC) is proud to announce its nomination for the PGA Victorian Regional Pro-Am of the Year at the 2024 Victorian Golf Industry Awards. This prestigious recognition highlights the club’s commitment to excellence and the strong community spirit fostered by the team, members, participants and sponsors.
This nomination comes after the recent Adidas Pro Am Series at GGC, where Rick Kulacz and Andrew Kelly shared an exciting victory, ending in a tie. The event attracted 186 players in the running for a $15,000 purse. Kulacz and Kelly clinched the top spot with an impressive score of -4 (29), earning praise from PGA of Australia’s Heath McLeod, who said, “Geelong Golf Club’s 9 Hole Pro Am is the best in the series.”
“We are absolutely thrilled and deeply honoured to receive this nomination for the 2024 PGA Victorian Regional Pro-Am of the Year,” said Paul Christie, Venue Manager at Geelong Golf Club.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire community, our talented professionals, passionate amateur golfers, loyal members and incredible sponsors. We’re excited to celebrate this achievement together and look forward to the awards night.”
The awards presentation will be held on October 31 at Southern Golf Club, where the winner will be announced.
